On the occasion of Kalavrita, a city where the entire male population was completely burned and executed by the Nazi German troops on December 13, 1943.
The sculpture is roughly in the form of a book. The red run is for
sacrifices. The black stripe is for mourning. The slot has a fluorescent lamp
from behind suggesting hope and the ladder as a point of salvation.
